In the previous post, we did a style swap between twins, but this time, we're doing something even more interesting! Drumrolls ~
So here's our concept for today - #STOLEN: From The Boys.
This will probably be the first lookbook from the #STOLEN: From The Boys series, so stay tuned for more to come! As we like to stay on the cutting edge of fashion, we're always on the lookout for the outfits that our favourite celebs step out in. Whether they're shopping or at the airport, they all have their individual styles. We like to gather some style inspirations from them and yup, our hot favourites are usually Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, as well as various Korean actresses and singers.
It struck us then - why not draw inspiration from male celebs too? And so #STOLEN: From The Boys was inspired by the page Steal Her Style (our favourite online fashion haunt), where the style pieces of Hollywood female celebrities are featured. However, for #STOLEN: From The Boys, we don't emulate the exact clothing pieces, but rather the general atmosphere or vibe that the outfit gives off.
The male celebrities featured in this post are from the Hallyu Wave aka Korean Pop industry. We're so stoked to be sharing these styles with you guys today! Hope that y'all will be pleasantly surprised by them. xoxo

|| 1 || KRIS WU
The former EXO member is a well-known fashionista in the K-pop world. He is often seen rocking hip-hop outfits, with stylish sunglasses and quirky hats. In fact, he has walked the runway for Burberry and is coming up with his own fashion line this year.
Although he has made questionable fashion choices once in a while, he's definitely one who doesn't hesitate to experiment with fashion.
Most of the time, he pulls off his outfits with a badass attitude and unparalleled confidence. People always say that the key to looking fabulous is to wear your outfits with confidence.
That's why I admire him so much and I wanna learn to take risks in my sartorial choices, just like him!

To those who know me, I hope you're not too shocked as you scroll down?
Yes, I've stepped out of my comfort zone to style myself as a badass rocker chick. I've always wondered if I'm able to pull off such an outfit, because I've been told that I have a demure and good-girl image.
Over the years, I've realised that fashion has become one of my greatest avenues of self-expression because it gives me the liberty to explore who I am as a person. There may be trial and errors, but I'm learning to embrace my flaws and find my own sense of style.
That's how this whole experiment of being a rocker girl came about. At first I was a little uneasy about it, since it's a far cry from my original style. But after donning the outfit, for some reason, I thought, "Hey, I could actually pull this off. It isn't too bad for a start."
So yeah, let me be a rocker just for a day, will ya?

A key essential of a hip-hop or rock outfit is the biker jacket. I'm so glad I invested in one because it's a wardrobe essential - it literally goes with anything! On days when you're feeling lazy to dress up, simply throw on a biker jacket over a basic tee, and - voilà - you're instantly more put-together.

|| 2 || LEE JUNGSHIN
He's the bassist of CNBLUE, one of my favourite bands! But I shan't go into fangirl mode, because we're talking about fashion here hehe.
Jungshin has been dabbling in the fashion and modelling world and has taken part in Fashion King Korea Season 3 - a competition that involves working with top fashion designers. But truth to be told, I've never noticed his fashion style and he isn't exactly recognised for it in the K-pop world either.
However, I came across this photoshoot that he did with Ceci and I immediately thought that the style was similar to that of the Korean brand, Stylenanda.
That's why I decided to put together an outfit, inspired by what Jungshin was wearing in this photo.

The essence of a Stylenanda outfit is the combination of pastel and muted colours, with minimal or no accessories. And of course, not forgetting the signature high socks in heels or sneakers.
I decided to incorporate the colour palette of Jungshin's look into mine - white tee, pink skirt, navy blue blazer and white socks in heels.
The result is a schoolgirl-like outfit that exudes femininity, gracefulness and a touch of dreaminess.
Throw on the blazer - there's now added maturity and formality to the outfit, which makes it more suitable for a smart-casual occasion.

This is my attempt at a more ethereal look. Yeah, I like to fantasise sometimes and so does my sis, the photographer of this picture. So here's the imaginary story behind this photo:
It was a fateful day in Spring. The cold, dewy morning air was perfumed with the sweet scent of flowers. Grace was on the way to school in her spring-like, pastel ensemble. She took a deep breath and let the fresh air permeate her lungs.
It was a good start to a hectic day.

|| 3 || THE HAIR
A NOTE FROM GLADYS ;)
This hairstyle was featured in Grace's first outfit steal (above).
In my opinion, a rocker chick vibe can never be complete without a fierce hair-do. The Boxer Braid, which is double french braids weaved tight to the scalp, is a must-have accessory to define this style.
Instead of french braids, you could do the inverse dutch braid depending on your preference. Also, instead of braiding the 3 strand braid to the end, you could incorporate the fishtail braid.
I didn't do as well on this hairstyle - as you can see it's not tight enough especially towards the end of the head - so maybe you guys could do better!
Use a sheer lacquer for added shine on the hair to amp up that grunge!

|| 1 || SUGA
Suga from BTS (방탄소년단), aka Min Yoongi. I could go on and on because he's my bias from BTS but I shan't start keke.
Suga is one of the members from BTS that caught my attention when it comes to fashion, simply because he has such impeccable taste, opting for a minimalist dress sense, usually in monochrome.
He always manages to set himself apart from the rest when it comes to airport fashion - he's the only one who wears different accessories according to the band's concept for a certain album era. However, he doesn't seem to be recognised in the K-pop fashion world, perhaps because his style is too simplistic.
This look (left) that I've chosen is from the O!RUL8,2? and the Dark & Wild era. His signature look from these 2 eras is none other than a bandana headband, of which he quipped, "The rich housewife's hairstyle."

BTS is known to be a hip-hop boyband, and therefore they also dress the part, and there's probably one universal term that I can describe it with: swag.
Now, I'm not saying that hip-hop is a representation of a fashion genre - there are slightly different interpretations of what hip-hop is and its pure origins - this ensemble is just my take on how to dress in a seemingly hip-hop related manner.
I freely admit that I am one who likes to experiment with fashion here and there, and thus I was more than willing to step out of my comfort zone to try something that is a far cry from my daily image.
Actually, this hip-hop inspired style isn't something that I haven't done before, I just amped it up a notch with makeup and full on accessories for this shoot.

For me, the point of this get-up is sticking to the underlying colour of blue; and matching it with black. Therefore, the whole outfit comprises of 3 colours - blue, black and gold - chic and slick. The reason I opted for a washed-out denim jacket, instead of the classic black biker jacket, was to achieve a more laid-back vibe. Bring back the 90s ya know, with that choker necklace and cropped top. Work this outfit with silent confidence and you're ready to hit the streets.

|| 2 || KEY
Key from SHINee, aka Kim Ki Bum (extreme right of picture). I don't think I have to elaborate much, simply because Key is among the front-liners of Kpop fashion, having been recognised as a fashionista alongside big-shot names like G-Dragon.
It is known that Key has a quirky sense of style; he has garnered attention for the discerning pieces he wears on and off duty.
His mishmash of colours and accessories would be considered eccentric by majority, but he pulls it off well every single time - he literally owns the style. Key has attended many fashion related events, like Seoul Fashion Week.
I thought I'd pose a little challenge for myself and try to "give off the Key aura"?

The above pictorial was taken from SHINee's photoshoot with the magazine The Celebrity. I got the feeling of boys dressed for a romantic date from this pictorial and hence decided to build my outfit on the basis of the word 'ethereal'.
A flowy white top paired with grey checkered shorts. A black wide-brimmed floppy hat and socks in sandals. I'm aiming for a casual yet put-together look - imagine flouncing in a field of roses, the fragrance of rose scented breeze swirling all around you.
I adhered to the colour scheme of grey, white and black, as seen in Key's pictorial ensemble. An outfit that turns heads due to its uniqueness, it exudes a quiet charm on its own, without being too obnoxious.

A dash of orange hue on the lips instantly brightens up the otherwise greyscale cast, lending a healthy glow to the complexion. Socks in heeled sandals allow for daintiness; while a gold pendant choker springs an element of surprise - something edgy to define and own this style.
