As twins, we are the strongest supporters, as well as the strongest critics for each other, especially when it comes to fashion. But even though we are twins, our tastes in fashion may differ from time to time. When we run out of ideas on what to wear for whichever occasion, we become each others' fashion consultant. Ideas, along with wardrobe pieces, are swapped!
So here's our first concept: My Sister Is My Stylist.
Some might be wondering what it feels like to have and be living with a twin, so we have come up with this concept, where one twin puts together two outfits for the other twin, but here's the catch: clothing pieces from the ensemble MUST solely be from the other twin's wardrobe and vice versa!
So we have created a total of 4 outfits perfect for the spring and summer season. Hope y'all will like them!

|| 1 || FLORALS
What announces the arrival of spring? Fresh white daisies dotted with minuscule dewdrops shivering slightly in the spring breeze comes to mind. How about you?
This style is inspired by a combination of South Korean trends - a combination of the oversized ulzzang shirt with a slightly low cut printed spaghetti strap top. I chose this top due to its simple daisy print, signifying the freshness of spring. Backed against a slightly loose white crop top (a wardrobe staple!), this combination exudes the pureness of a blank canvas - new season, new beginnings.
I decided to match this rather conservative top half with a pair of high-waisted sky blue ripped jean shorts (another wardrobe staple!) to switch things up a little - a little twist for contrast, and also for the sake of Singapore's usually stifling weather.

What spells summer? Sunlit flare through thick green foliage, breezy outfits, intricate hairstyle experiments and your favourite pair of sunnies. Maybe a baseball cap too. (And lazy afternoons hehe.)
This colour combination of white, yellow, red and faded blue gives the feeling of playfulness and youth; yet the vibe is toned down when set off by navy blue, also with the addition of the similar coloured baseball cap emblazoned with bold gold lettering.
With the cap, has the whole get-up now turned interesting? Pull the cap lower to crank up the aloof, mysterious aura by a notch. Turn the cap front to back, and the ensemble will have a laid-back feel to it.

|| 2 || OF POLKA DOTS & PINSTRIPES
A loose fit dress shirt leaning to the cream hue sprinkled with neutral coloured polka dots - comfortable and versatile!
With pattern mixing, you can never go wrong with those tiny polka dots. Depending on how you wear this neutral piece, it can look casual, feminine or even dressed-up.
Paired with a pinstriped navy blue a-line skirt, the outfit looks put together - good to go for a smart-casual event.
Remember: Go wild with mixing prints, but make sure one of the pieces is a neutral to avoid clashes!

Due to the muted and conservative nature of this style, a bold red lip adds a pop of color which brightens the look instantly. The Mary Janes, paired with above-ankle socks, emphasises the quiet chicness and innocence of the outfit.

|| 3 || THE HAIR
For a Spring/Summer style, I thought a classic french braid would suffice.
For a more laid-back or windswept look, pull out little hairs at the side to frame your face. Don't forget to pancake your braid to achieve volume! Also, you could backcomb/tease the roots of hair at the top of your head to achieve a poof.
Best results work on 1 or 2 day old hair!
And there you have it, the classic french braid.

|| 1 || PARADE OF PRINTS
Gladys has always been more of a colour lover, so I wanted to concoct an outfit that brings out her personality.
In this print-on-print combination, I matched a gingham crop top with a floral skirt. The matching floral headband keeps things cute and summery! I completed her outfit with grey sneakers to break out of the femininity.
This outfit is perfect for chilling at the beach or a picnic date, don't you think so?
Just a tip, remember to stick to the same colour palette when mixing prints. In this case, black is the underlying colour.
One more thing, gingham prints AND bigger floral prints are trending this Spring/Summer season. Double score!

A slick of Mandarin orange lipstick gives her a fresh, healthy glow. Move aside, pink and red lipsticks.

|| 2 || WOMAN OF CLASS
The second outfit is far from playful. I wanted to achieve a look of sophistication for her, which is perfect for her work wardrobe.
For an outfit like this, refrain from showing any skin because it ain't gonna be classy at all.
Black, white and gold are all the colours you need for an elegant ensemble. I balanced out the soft silhouette of the dress with the edginess of the statement shoes. A low ponytail gives a effortlessly chic feel, without trying too hard.

She is wearing a black t-shirt layered underneath a white floral print dress, accented with delicate gold rings on her fingers. The star of the show is the black buckle cutout boots, paired with black socks to add on to the elegance.
